Cyberlitica Hires Jerry Chan from Bank of NY Mellon to Serve as New Virtual CISO
20 Year Cybersecurity Veteran Joins Fast-Growing Threat Intelligence Company
New York, NY—September 15, 2020: Cyberlitica, Inc, a provider of threat intelligence services for the consumer and commercial markets, announced today it hired its first Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Jerry Chan, who, until recently, served as Global Head Cyber Security Audit and Co-Founder of BNYM Veterans Network.
Cyberlitica's spokesperson said Chan will start in his new role on September 21st (virtually) where he will report directly to Bob Schiff, Cyberlitica Founder, and Chief Executive Officer.
Chan established a first-in-class Cyber Security Audit practice at BNY Mellon including the company’s first Internal Audit vulnerability scanning capabilities. He also managed a team of cybersecurity experts that specialized in vulnerabilities research and ethical hacking testing in both external and internal IT infrastructures in APAC, EMEA, and North and South America. He also developed and executed the BNY Mellon’s Cyber Security Audit Framework.
Chan is a veteran of the cybersecurity industry, having served in information security and management roles for more than 20 years. Prior to his role at BNY Mellon Chan held key cybersecurity roles at FEMA, JP Morgan Chase, and AIG.
